Vegas at Ego, Edinburgh on Saturday the 8th May
2004
Vegas limbered up for it's forthcoming world tour with an intoxicated evening at Ego. New showgirl recruits Lisa Luciano and Fifi D'Amour exceeded Vegas' demanding alcohol consumption expectations and the ensuing eventsbrought back fond memories of the halcyon era of Vegas at the Shooting Gallery. Not since Lola Las Vegas & the original Vegas Showgirls have we seen such diligent devotion to the art of hedonism, hi-jinks and hellraising. At one point the Vegas wheels of steel themselves were in danger of flying off due the exceptionally bumpy ride over perilous terrain. On more than occasion Frankie's twin turntables of vintage vinyl had to be supported by Mr. Sumatra himself after the on-stage antics reached a chaotic crescendo.
