VEGAS! at The HMV Picture House, on Saturday the 30th of July 2011

Everyone knows that the only way to kick-off the Edinburgh Festival is with VEGAS!, and this year was no exception! Music-maestro Frankie Sumatra put together an astonishing bill of fare, with The VEGAS! Big Band featuring Little Miss Leod & The Horndog Horns, plus special guests The Jive Aces, and also Sound Assembly. The joint was jumpin' and the crowd were havin' a ball all night long! MC's Bugsy Seagull looked bountiful in blue, and Dino Martini was behaving himself (for a change!), while Sam Jose looked snappy in his pin-striped zoot. The glamorous VEGAS! Showgirls were handing-out complimentary 'Elvis' dollars for patrons to gamble and win prizes at the roulette and blackjack tables in The Stardust Lounge Casino with The Fabulous Scott Brothers croupiers. Now, that's is the way to start a festival!
