Vegas returned to the Barrowlands for another swinging night of top quality entertainment in Glasgow's fabulous palace of dance and live entertainment. A big thanks to the Ray Gelato Giants, King Voodoo, the Flyright Dance. Co. and, most of all, yourselves for helping to make it such a memorable occasion. BBVD, who headlined the last Barras bash, were a mighty tough act to follow but Ray and the guys did a truly outstanding job and their set of Italian-American swing was full of top notch musicianship and showmanship. Great versions of crowd pleasers like "Ain't that a kick in the head", "Volare" and, of course, "Tu Vuo Fa L'Americano" and some excellent original songs kept the crowd happy and the band kept the tempo up throughout a dynamic, ultra-danceable set. King Voodoo also wowed the crowd with a nicely judged mix of originals and covers. The Flyright guys and girls looked great and treated us to a superb demonstration of swing dancing. And of course the crowd were sensational. Some amazing dancers and everyone was knocked out by the great costumes on display. So much so that we've included not one but two pages of photos from the night, A VIP Room first!
