The VEGAS! Grand Hogmanay Ball in Ocean Terminal on Friday the 31st of December 2010
It was the VEGAS! way to see the old year out and
usher the new one in, and it was a solid blast right from the start! The
night featured live music on the main stage from The Soul Foundation,
who performed two stunning sets of solid soul and fired-up funk, and also
Miss Dolores Delight who charmed the crowd with her delectable
vocal stylings. Downstairs, the night featured the Scottish Country dancing
supergroup, Nevada Tam's Ceilidh Band, with DJ Sam Jose
keeping the groove going in-between the band's live sets. And, as if that
wasn't enough, the crowd was 'wowed' with the truly spectacular
burlesque routines performed on the main stage by Missy Malone
(the internationally acclaimed Queen of Scottish Burlesque) and Miss
Kitty Klaw, star of The Ministry of Burlesque. As ever, Frankie Sumatra
dished-out the grooves for the crowd, ably assisted by Bugsy Seagull and
Dino Martini. The ultra-glamorous VEGAS! Showgirls added va-va-voom
to the room, and handed out complimentary 'Elvis' dollars for party people
to gamble and win prizes at the blackjack and roulette tables in The
Stardust Casino with The Fabulous Scott Brothers.
